Why Is Everyone Talking About Cryptocurrency?
Crypto is everywhere — in the news, on social media, in conversations with friends. It can feel like everyone already understands it except you. The truth is, you’re not too late, and you’re not alone in wanting it explained simply.
Cryptocurrency is becoming a core part of modern finance, and understanding it is now part of essential financial literacy. It’s also sparked real debate within Islamic finance, with scholars holding different views on its permissibility and how different digital assets should be evaluated.
We believe Muslim women shouldn’t be left out of this conversation. This beginner-friendly course creates a safe, supportive space to understand cryptocurrency without the overwhelm, helping you grasp the technology, navigate the Islamic considerations, and build the confidence to invest with intention.
By the end, you won’t just understand crypto — you’ll know where to buy it, and you’ll have already taken your first (small or large) step into the market.
Before we go any further…
Is Crypto Halal?
It’s probably the biggest question on your mind.
And if you’re hoping for a simple “yes” or “no,” I understand why.
The reality is that cryptocurrency isn’t one thing. Different digital assets serve different purposes, so the Islamic perspective isn’t always the same.
In this course, we’ll explore the key Islamic principles scholars consider when evaluating cryptocurrency. We’ll also introduce a practical framework to help you assess different crypto assets thoughtfully and responsibly.
We don’t issue fatwas. Our role is to equip you with the knowledge and tools to navigate this space with greater confidence while encouraging you to seek guidance from qualified scholars where appropriate.
If you’d like to explore this topic in more depth, we’ve also created a dedicated webinar, where we unpack the scholarly perspectives, common misconceptions, and principles behind this important discussion.
